THE MIND IS A-MAZE-ING
The mind is complex subject and a bit of a maze. In meditation practice the aim is to become aware of the mental chatter (Chittwa - The mental Monkey) As a visual learner, I love that expression - you can see how the mind bounces around from one thought to another just like a monkey. A lot of the struggles we face in our lives stem from our thinking patterns and beliefs that we have formed. From the moment we were born, we have been programmed into a narrowing conformity funnel. From an early age, we form beliefs about this world based on the information and teachings shown to us. These early beliefs helped us manage the maze of life and were probably true and useful back then. Unfortunately we carry these beliefs with us through life. Society has changed, you have grown up but a lot of these beliefs have not been updated.
In my own personal journey, I have found energy work to be the fastest way to uncover these beliefs which may be holding you back from achieving the greatness you long for. EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques also known as 'Tapping', is a universal healing tool which is fast-evolving within the field of Energy Psychology. Often referred to as "Psychological acupressure", the technique works by releasing blockages within the energy system which are the source of emotional intensity and discomfort. Tapping is relatively easy to learn, and once you know how to do it the results can be incredible.
Tapping can create long lasting results for a multitude of issues, including:
- Pain Relief
- Weight Loss
- Autoimmune Diseases
It is also now finally widely accepted that emotional disharmony is a key factor in physical symptoms and disease and for this reason these techniques are being extensively used on physical issues, including chronic illness with often astounding results.
What does EFT Tapping Involve?
An EFT treatment involves the use of fingertips rather than needles to tap on the end points of energy meridians that are situated just beneath the surface of the skin. Each meridian has several acupressure points along its path, and by focusing on a specific issue while Tapping these points, we are sending a signal to the amygdala. The amygdala is the area of the brain responsible for emotions, survival instincts, and memory. The treatment is non-invasive and works on the ethos of making change as simple and as pain free as possible. The idea behind Tapping is to reprogram your response to these threats, focus on the anger, sadness, or whatever other emotion is holding you down, and to send a signal to the amygdala that tells us we’re safe.
Why choose this form of therapy?
- It is a positive, proactive experience
- Often works where nothing else seems to
- Usually rapid, long lasting relief from symptoms
- Can be self applied (some cases are more complex, however, and may require more detailed attention from an experienced EFT Practitioner)
- No drugs or equipment needed
During an EFT Tapping Session I will also use Matrix Reimprinting as a faster way to solve issues. Matrix Reimprinting has evolved from EFT and the difference between the two is that EFT is more like watching a movie off your life, whereas in Matrix Reimprinting you play a part in that movie you step inside your thoughts and take part in the outcome of that movie. Simply put, Matrix Reimprinting is a technique that connects people with their past traumas and core beliefs and allows you to go into any past memory, say and do what you wished you’d said and done, bring in new resources, and create and transform the picture you have of that memory. This allows the body and mind to overcome any obstacle that memory is creating in your current life.
Matrix Reimprinting has grown into a whole host of exciting protocols, including ones which can transform the following:
- Negative core-beliefs
- Birth traumas
- And many more.
