Those who have done a retreat in the past need neither explanation nor encouragement – the benefits are simply phenomenal (in the true sense of the word!) For those who have never experienced it, a retreat is a major growth point.
There is a limited opportunity to join us for this unique summer retreat. When did you last take time out with your fabulous self. Are things changing rapidly in your life. Do you ever get the feeling that you want to run away for a little while - well here is the opportunity right on your doorstep.
This summer retreat takes place from Friday 27th July - Sunday 29th July 2018. It will take place in Tobar Mhuire which is a well equipped modern Retreat and Conference Centre, set in sixty acres of woodland, in the heart of County Down. With its tranquil surroundings this is the perfect place to practice mindfulness and meditation.
Tobar Mhuire is very popular for rejuvenating the soul. Each day there will be various meditation and mindful techniques taught you will be given plenty of time for personal reflection in the acres of woodland surrounding the grounds.
This is the ultimate in 'self care', where you plug back into nature, nourish your mind, body and soul so that you are more present for your family and friends when you return.
The weekend will start with a "Sound Bath" with Catherine McClintock. Bring blankets and pillows to lie back and enjoy the bath of sounds which will start your return to stillness. If you have not experienced a sound bath, you will be in for blissful experience.
Annette Burke (myself) will be explaining the link between Food and Mood for your mental health.
I am very excited to announce that Elaine Douglas from "The Nourished Sprout" will be attending the weekend. She is a Raw Food Educator and specialises in creating the most amazing plant based Raw food desserts. She will be bringing along some of her treats to sample during teabreaks as well as connecting her work into the Food Mood and Mental Health topic.
Brenda McCluskey will be on hand to provide reflexology treatments. A timetable will be posted closer to the time to book your time slot with Brenda if you wish to avail of this service.
EFT will be available if needed throughout the weekend. If you work out you are blocking yourself from joy, abundance or health. EFT is a great therapy to try and find the root cause of such blocks.
The meditations will take place mostly indoors in a dedicated room. If you are comfortable sitting on the floor, please bring a cushion, yoga mat or meditation stool. Chairs are provided during all sessions. There will be information given on various meditation techniques. As you will be taking time to connect with nature, a torch is recommended if you want to walk out to lie under the stars for part of an evening. If the weather is bright and sunny, I intend on bringing a sleeping bag and spend a night under the stars. This is a dream I have had for a while. This retreat is about bringing yourself back. It is a time to remember your hopes and dreams. To live the best version of you and the most important part is really truely allowing Joy to flow into your heart.
Bring along a picnic blanket and or some cosy blankets. It is Ireland so all weather clothing is recommended. It could be scorching, pouring with rain or chilly, so please be ready for all possibilities. There is really no such thing as bad weather - just bad clothing.
